Illinois Search Dogs (ISD) is an all volunteer, not for profit corporation.

ISD has been recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 charitable organization.

All donations are tax deductible and always appreciated. We could not function without the support of public and private donations.

Training and working a search dog requires a considerable commitment of both time and financial resources on the part of every volunteer member. To enable financial donations to support our work, Illinois Search Dogs is a registerd 501.c.3 non-profit organization.

ISD functions completely on our own financial resources and the generous donations from private individuals or companies. This also means that we provide our highly trained teams at no cost to the requesting agency.

We always welcome donations in any amount and are very grateful for the support from the various individuals and groups throughout our communities.

ISD is now a registered charity with the Central Illinois Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). Please consider selecting ISD as your charity of choice during this CFC campaign season. It is an easy way to support our work and greatly appreciated!

All donations are tax deductible and donations to Illinois Search Dogs are used primarily for two purposes:

  1. To build and maintain an emergency veterinary fund to provide critical care for our K-9 partners in the event of a crisis or emergency while working.
  2. To purchase essential team equipment necessary for both training and emergency response.

At this point in time, our primary needs are a fund to help support the purchase of essential team equlpment (GPS units, radios) and a fund to help support training expenses for team members. On average, each K9 handler spends about $3,000 a year on professional training seminars and the necessary certifications to remain operational. Financial resources to help offset those expenses would be extremely beneficial.
