Illinois Search Dogs (ISD) is an all volunteer, not for profit corporation.

ISD has been recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)3 charitable organization.

All donations are tax deductible and always appreciated. We could not function without the support of public and private donations.

Training and working a search dog requires a considerable commitment of both time and financial resources. Illinois Search Dogs is a 501.c.3 non-profit organization.

Therefore we are funded 100% through our own financial resources and the generous donations from private individuals or companies. This also means that we provide our highly trained teams at no cost to the requesting agency.

We always welcome donations in any amount and are very grateful for the support from the various individuals and groups throughout our communities.

All donations are tax deductible and donations to Illinois Search Dogs are used primarily for two purposes:

  1. To build and maintain an emergency veterinary fund to provide critical care for our K-9 partners in the event of a crisis or emergency while working.
  2. To purchase essential team equipment necessary for both training and emergency response.

At this point in time, our primary equipment need is a team boat and trailer. This piece of equipment will enable us to provide more advanced training for our water cadaver dogs and will also enable us to quickly respond to drowning searches with our own equipment.
