The Untimely End to an Amazing Career:
Neeva has always been a dog with high drive, intensity and focus. Gary and Neeva quickly became a terrific K9/Handler team and passed rigorous certification with the International Police Work Dog Association. Unfortunately, Neeva's career was cut far too short, and she will never be able to search again. Neeva was diagnosed with dysplasia in both front elbows, in addition to which they found a debilitating tumor in her left elbow. The only possible treatment is surgical amputation of the affected limb to relieve the pain and to increase her longevity and quality of life. Following surgery, Neeva has made a full recovery and is now able to live out her life with her family as a much beloved pet.
